Tour Itinerary

Day 1 | SAIGON | VUNG TAU

Day 1 SAIGON | VUNG TAU 1

Your Central Vietnam journey begins in Saigon, where you meet your photography team and fellow travelers. After a short briefing, we transfer to the coast — a quiet region perfect for observing local life and understanding the rhythm of Vietnam landscapes. Small fishing boats, village streets, and warm colors fill the air as the day transitions toward evening.

As sunset approaches, we photograph the captivating landscape of Vietnam at a salt-producing area known for its reflective ponds. Here, silhouettes of workers during golden hour offer strong compositions for both cameras and drone photography, especially for those wanting aerial shots of salt patterns and mirror-like water textures.

We return to the salt plains at sunrise to capture fishermen returning from sea — an opportunity to document the landscapes in Central Vietnam through movement, storytelling, and textures. This is a strong location for environmental portraiture and observing the deeply rooted fishing culture of Central Vietnam.

After breakfast, we drive toward the Muine region, stopping at fishing villages and rural scenes showcasing another side of the landscape of Vietnam. As the day ends, we set up for sunset on the coastline, capturing palm silhouettes and traditional boats. Those interested in drone photography can experiment with flight patterns and aerial symmetry during dusk.

The shapes, shadows, and water patterns offer a fresh perspective on the landscape of Vietnam, especially during low tide when textures become most visible from the air.

Later, we explore the cultural heritage of the Cham communities, photographing pottery, weaving, and traditional crafts. It’s a chance to connect with people while adding human elements to Central Vietnam landscapes. By evening, we reach a colorful working harbor full of boats — a perfect location to blend culture, portraiture, and coastal scenery.

1 / 5
Over the next three days, we explore some of the most diverse landscapes in Central Vietnam, ranging from dramatic salt fields to traditional villages and UNESCO heritage streets. This section of the journey is especially rich for drone photography, wide-angle compositions, and capturing the authentic landscape of Vietnam that shifts dramatically from morning to evening.

These days hold strong variety, from aerial perspectives and island views to environmental portraits and ancient town ambiance. We begin with a salt-producing area where patterns of work create strong visual rhythm across the fields. This is an ideal place to observe how culture and environment merge in the landscape of Vietnam. Later, we travel along the coast toward rugged cliff areas featuring breathtaking panoramas and elevated viewpoints, especially rewarding for drone photography and aerial perspectives. Visiting local artisans such as mat weavers and net menders allows us to include storytelling elements within the wider Central Vietnam landscapes, blending human presence with nature.

As the journey continues, we explore a coastal region famous for its round bamboo boats and traditional fishing techniques. From morning motion shots to abstract compositions, this area offers both creative and documentary photography opportunities. A side trip to a nearby island reveals tidal rock formations and scenic pathways exposed at low tide, an ideal spot for drone flights and showcasing the natural landscape of Vietnam from above. Finally, we arrive in the ancient town of Hoi An, where lanterns, bridges, riverside reflections, and atmospheric alleys provide some of the most iconic scenes for photographing Central Vietnam. Twilight here is magical, soft light, rustic architecture, and river reflections make for poetic compositions ready for both street photography and aerial photography.
