Tour Itinerary

Day 1 | BEIJING | HARBIN

Day 1 BEIJING | HARBIN 1

From Beijing, we fly north to Harbin, the heart of China’s winter magic. Known as the Ice City, Harbin blends Russian heritage with northern Chinese traditions. Snow blankets the streets, and frosted architecture creates the perfect canvas for photography.

In the afternoon, explore Central Avenue, a bustling pedestrian street lined with European-style façades. St. Sophia Cathedral, with its green domes and frozen surroundings, offers timeless photo opportunities. The mix of Russian legacy and Chinese culture gives Harbin its unique identity.

Evening strolls reveal glowing shopfronts and frosty details in the city’s heart. This first day sets the rhythm for the Harbin winter photo tour—blending history, architecture, and atmosphere.

Day 2 | HARBIN | WUSONG ISLAND

Day 2 HARBIN | WUSONG ISLAND 1

We set off on a scenic seven-hour drive toward Wusong Island, one of China’s most famous rime frost destinations. Along the Songhua River, willow trees sparkle with crystalline ice, glowing in winter sunlight. These scenes resemble a dreamlike painting.

Photographers enjoy both ground-level perspectives and aerial opportunities. Drone shots capture the frozen river winding through misty landscapes, while close-ups highlight delicate ice crystals. Each frame tells a story of nature’s artistry.

The day ends with location scouting for sunrise. Finding the right angles ensures you’ll capture the perfect golden-hour light when mist and frost combine.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 3 | WUSONG ISLAND

Day 3 WUSONG ISLAND 1

Before dawn, we photograph the rare moment when sunlight filters through fog and frost. The interplay of warm rays, icy branches, and river mist creates painterly images that define a winter photo tour.

After breakfast, travel deeper into the forest region. This remote area is less known but offers peaceful winter scenery. Snow-covered pines and rustic wooden cabins provide a serene, storybook-like atmosphere.

The forest invites slower storytelling: smoke rising from chimneys, animal tracks in fresh snow, and soft light falling across frozen rivers. Each moment enriches your portfolio with quiet winter beauty.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 4 | HARBIN | ICE & SNOW WORLD

Day 4 HARBIN | ICE & SNOW WORLD 1

Returning to Harbin, we prepare for the highlight of the journey—the Harbin Ice & Snow World. Towering castles built from ice blocks and illuminated sculptures form a glowing wonderland.

Evening is the best time to shoot. Neon lights bathe the frozen structures in surreal hues of blue, red, and violet. Wide shots capture the grandeur, while close details reveal intricate carvings. Long exposures transform the scene into magical compositions.

This festival is the centerpiece of any Harbin winter photo tour, combining human creativity with the raw power of ice and snow.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 5 | HARBIN | CHINA SNOW TOWN (XUEXIANG)

Day 5 HARBIN | CHINA SNOW TOWN (XUEXIANG) 1
1 / 2

We travel into the mountains toward Xuexiang, or China’s Snow Town. Deep snow drapes wooden cottages and red lanterns glow warmly against the icy backdrop. The village feels like stepping into a winter fairy tale.

Daytime photography highlights powdery roofs and rustic details, while evenings bring warm illumination across the snow. Long exposures capture glowing lanterns beneath snowy eaves. The contrast between light and darkness creates powerful imagery.

Every corner of Snow Town offers composition opportunities—from frozen fences to children playing in deep snow. It is an essential stop on the Harbin winter photo tour.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 6 | SNOW TOWN | HENGDAOHEZI

Day 6 SNOW TOWN | HENGDAOHEZI 1

Morning begins with more shooting in Snow Town before moving to Hengdaohezi. This small town, surrounded by snow-covered forests, feels peaceful and authentic. Its heritage buildings carry Russian architectural influence.

A highlight is the yellow-brick tourist reception center, a charming site that reflects the region’s past. Frosty streets, wood smoke, and winter light offer soft, atmospheric photo opportunities.

In Hengdaohezi, every scene is slower and more intimate. The contrast with Harbin’s bustling Ice City enriches your winter photo journey.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 7 | TIGER & DEER PARKS | HARBIN

Day 7 TIGER & DEER PARKS | HARBIN 1

Today focuses on wildlife photography. At the Siberian Tiger Park, you’ll capture powerful predators against snowy backdrops. Their orange coats contrast beautifully with the white landscape.

Later, we visit the Deer Park. Herds move gracefully through snowy enclosures, providing chances for naturalistic compositions. The quiet interaction between animals and winter landscape adds depth to the portfolio.

Evening brings us back to Harbin for a final gathering. We review highlights of the tour and prepare for the closing stage of the journey.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 8 | HARBIN | BEIJING

Day 8 HARBIN | BEIJING 1

We fly back to Beijing, marking the near conclusion of the adventure. Conversations and images connect the journey, horses on snowy plains, ice palaces glowing at night, and misty forests. Each participant leaves with both stories and skills gained in China’s winter.

This day serves as a pause, blending closure with anticipation of the return journey.
